The Vice Chancellor’s Executive Group approved a programme of work to enhance student education and promote the University through the increased use of audio and video. This presents opportunities to capture, manage, store and deliver multimedia resources created during teaching and learning events, at desktops, during interactive teaching sessions and video conferencing calls (The Digital Learning Programme).
The Digital Learning Programme (DLP) comprises four strands; Lecture Capture, Multimedia Management, Desktop Video Conferencing and Interactive Sessions. The strands were delivered as separate projects from September 2014. Lecture Capture and Media Management is now firmly established at the University which has celebrated its 2 millionth student view recently.
